  B BIO 372 ~ Stem CellsDr. White is an amazing person, and he really cares about his students. However, he is unorganized, and he didn't post the lecture slides until class started. He also didn't grade anything until the end of the quarter, except for the first midterm which he graded about 2-3 weeks after it was due.

  Dr. White truly brings compassion and equity into his classroom. I 100% believe that he wants everyone in his classes to succeed, so if you have a chance to work with him, I would not hesitate to take the opportunity. Though I admit I struggled with how absent-minded he can be at first, he will never blame students for something he forgot.

  A really awesome professor, very nice and polite. Reading the textbook would be very helpful and the chapters listed on canvas. Very organized canvas pages. Drawing experimental project in a group of 4 or 5. A very good class overall and very interesting too.

  Love love love Dr. White style of teaching. He really does love teaching and you can see it. The only con is probably all the people trauma dumping their mental issues/dissabilites and sidetracking the class (Dr. White is usually too nice to tell them to shut up). Otherwise great class to be in!

  Loved loved Dr. White. The way he teaches just makes you fall in love with the subject. I was never an A student, but when I actually understood the topics due to his excellent teaching is when I excelled. You are not tested on what you remember but more on what you understand. One of the few teachers who actually loves teaching! Take his class!

  I always struggled in biology classes and can confidently say that Dr. White is the best biology professor I've ever had. While there are many readings and assignments, he doesn't assign them for no reason. He takes the time to ensure that his students are understanding concepts and I learned so much throughout the quarter. He truly is amazing.

  Professor White is one of the best professors I've had so far! Supper caring and passionate guy. I don't ever rate professors but Bryan is so deserving of some nice words from students who really appreciate him. I've truly never had a professor who cared so much about his students. awesome material and you wont regret taking Dr. white!

  Best STEM prof at UW. You will actually want to come to a 9 am class and pay attention. Eccentric in the best way and a very visual/hands-on educator. So knowledgeable, funny, kind, and understanding. Gives students every possible opportunity to get a good grade and is very accessible. Workload is heavy but manageable because you learn so much.

  I had heard a lot of great things about him and he is a very nice and caring professor. You can tell he loves his job and is very passionate but the way he teaches just wasn't for me. Dosen't grade things he waits till the very last week which is annoying.

  Literally the sweetest professor at UWB. Such a kind person, very caring about how everyone does in the class. He really puts in the effort and encourages everyone to do their best. Weekly readings + quizzes, one group project, a midterm and a final. Take notes and go to office hours!!

  Bryan is the sweetest guy. He's very genuine in wanting you to learn the material. I had him for both BIO200 + 220 & found it most helpful to attend in-class lectures & review sessions. Take notes! If you are consistent with both, you won't really need the textbook. His wording on exams can be confusing but his labs are fun + low maintenance/work.

  THE nicest guy ever. Always willing to re-explain. Tests are lowkey worded in a confusing way but just reread the questions a few times and you'll be good. Do the readings and the homework- ATTEND REVIEW SESSIONS BEFORE EXAMS! Really help a lot. Also SUPERRR helpful office hours. Communicate with him and he'll always help you. Super great guy.

  Kindest human to walk the earth. Loved this class more than anything and he could make any class enjoyable. The least stressful class despite the workload. He makes you feel welcome and comfortable. BEST CLASS WITH BEST PROFESSOR. You'll only be disappointed if you're rude or small-minded. Be open to trying the experiments and you'll fall in love.

  One of the most genuine professors you'll ever encounter! I had him for Bio 200 & 220. We would have two reading quizzes and a lab simulation each week, and then an exam every two weeks-- that's about four exams per quarter, so yes, it can get a little overwhelming when you have other classes, but he always makes time to help you because he cares!

  Bryan is a great guy and really cares about his students however it is very difficult to understand him. He struggles to explain concepts during lecture, especially when a student asks a question. More confusing than helpful.

  Recently graduated and Dr. White is still one of my FAVORITE profs. Engaging lectures and amazing/caring person. Participation is part of your grade, so don't skip class. The study guides for exams was the best resource. ALOT of extra credit on exams and other assignments. DO NOT be on your phone while he's lecturing. He will call you out.

  Dr. White is hands down one of the most energetic, passionate, and approachable professors I've ever had. His delight over being in the company of those who wish to learn is contagious, and he's very willing to help his students. I couldn't recommend Dr. White more!! This man is fantastic.
