MYRTLE BEACH— The days where Coastal Carolina athletics fans in Myrtle Beach must drive to Conway to guarantee they find Chanticleers apparel will soon be over.
Coastal Carolina University is opening a retail store, called Teal Nation, at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach on March 1, with the grand opening set for 11 a.m.
The store will be located in Broadway at the Beach’s Key West Village area at 1169 Celebrity Circle and will be open daily per Broadway at the Beach operations.
Teal Nation will offer officially-licensed Chants merchandise, with Under Armour serving as the university’s official outfitter. Items available for purchase will include clothing, accessories, home décor and gift items.

The store also will provide patrons with information on university enrollment, purchasing tickets for athletic events and other campus events. It also will explain how to book tee times at CCU’s General James Hackler Golf Course.
“Teal Nation is an excellent opportunity to expand our footprint and introduce our brand to the millions of people who visit Broadway at the Beach each year,” CCU President Michael T. Benson said. “This location will also provide our students and alumni another great option to shop for a variety of teal and bronze gear. One of the key benefits of this initiative is that our students will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on learning experience while they help to operate the store and answer questions about all things CCU.”
Teal Nation will offer a 30% discount to CCU students, faculty and staff as well as Alumni Association and Chanticleer Athletic Foundation members with valid CINO (Coastal Is Number One) or membership cards.
